Himmelfahrt and a bridge-day at work, perfect combination for a small but amazing trip to Bornholm, a small island of Denmark in the Baltic. Nothing like getting out of the city makes you feel on holiday!
Early morning train to Sassnitz, sunny ride on the ferry and here we (me and my flatmate Marie) are on the island of bicycles!
We booked a place in Rønne through Airbnb, which was simply amazing!
A small walk along the coast, just in time for a stunning sunset.
We also had a lovely balcony where we had dinners and breakfast (we saved money cooking at our place!)
Time for the biking tour! We rented the bike for around 10 Euros the whole day at a camping in the city. Easiest way, I would say, also because then you do not have to worry about the returning time!
We only had one full day, and we rode for around 50 kilometers. Some parts in the north of the island were really exhausting, and we both at some points thought “why am I doing this to myself?!” (this is what I think sometimes at the gym, too). But we made it, the scenery all along was just beautiful, the weather perfect and the whole day full of laughs (yes, even during the tough up-hills, but maybe those were a bit hysterical laughs!).
The trip really recharged our batteries, so get on your (or the rented) bike and start riding!
Wow amazing sights, biking is a grat way to discover thes scenery 😀

Great photos and views ~ and the Air BnB looked amazing too. There is something about biking on a dirt road surrounded by beautiful fields that make any day great. 🙂
